The Division 2 developer will delaying the first raid for the game
19-April-2019 02:46
Bad news for endgame players of The Division 2. The game's first raid, Operation Dark Hours, has been pushed back from its original April 25 release date. Instead, it will now release sometime in May — and developer Massive Entertainment isn't being too specific about when in May that will be.Game Rant is reporting that Massive made the announcement during a live video stream today, dropping it into an update that typically features news on sandbox changes. It's been over a month since The Division 2 released, and some players have been grinding endlessly to have their builds ready for the encounter.

The Division 2 developer Massive Entertainment announced it will delaying the next huge update and first raid for the game until next month. The third title update was initially scheduled to drop on April 25. It would contain the game’s first raid, called Operation Dark Horse, where up to eight players work together to defeat tougher enemies and earn higher level loot.

According to a post made on Ubisoft’s website, Massive chose to push back the release of what it’s calling Title Update 3, until May. Massive says it made the decision to ensure that the update and the Operation Dark Hours raid will be released in the best possible state for fans. “In order to fine-tune the balance of our game and to ensure the best possible player experience for everyone, we have decided to move the release of Title Update 3,” Massive said. Though it’s only on PC, a Public Test Server for The Division 2 is now live. It will give players an opportunity to test out new features included with Title Update 3, as well as the opportunity to give feedback. While the Raid won’t be included in the PTS, it will allow players to see what else it has to offer, and give them the chance to help improve it, as well.As a live service game, The Division 2 is continually seeing new changes and updates. It’s most recent update included an improvement to the crafting bench, remedying issues some players have been having. Unfortunately, it also recently amended the presence of a slur within the game, as well. As The Division 2 has been performing very well commercially, we should see updates for years to come, just like its predecessor.

Massive said it will announce the PTS’s exact schedule over the next few days. While the team didn’t elaborate on what balance changes it’s making, fans on “The Division 2” subreddit are already listing changes they’ve found on the PTS. A number of skills have been tweaked and there’s now apparently higher caps on attributes when recalibrating gear. But, a Massive developer told fans in the thread the team is currently only looking for bugs. Many balance changes aren’t on the PTS yet.
