Following up on the hightop converse all star return, Converse Japan readies the Chevronstar's lowtop counterpart. The Converse Canvas Chevronstar CX-250 SU OX is actually built in suede with leather accents, a gold and black combination that always manages to look  vintage' even when they're brand new. A classically styled vulcanized sole furthers the classic look on this 1977 basketballer, but are they different enough from the Pro Leather, Nike's Blazer and Bruin or adidas' Nizza to warrant a purchase? With a large focus of the Sneaker Industry currently focussed on Los Angeles, Converse is paying tribute to the iconic city once again with converse trainers distinctive collaborative collections by Babylon LA, Rokit, RSVP Gallery and CLOT. Each collection comes as a response to the city's diverse basketball heritage and utilizes color in their respective footwear and apparel capsules. Centered around the Chuck 70 , the Fastbreak , and the One converse uk Star , each entity puts its own personal spin on their design  highlighting both the strengths of their brand as well as Converse. The entire collection will be available from Converse as well as select retailers on February 10th ranging from $110-$120 USD.

Perhaps because the Pro Leather occupies that space in the market, we haven't seen much from this other 1970s Converse basketballer here in the states. But over in Japan, the Converse Chevronstar continues to expand its grasp, this time with three new black leather converse collaborative designs. These  Work Shirt' Chevronstars by XLarge are more subdued than that stalwart streetwear brand's typical guest spots, but the red, blue and black pairs fit right in with the overall XLarge x Converse capsule this season. Proving that Converse China isn't the only region with killer exclusives is this new collaborative capsule curated by the likes of X-Large. The team outfitted a range of silhouettes like the Converse Pro Leather and the Converse Chevronstar with their look, which in this case includes a cool new XLC logo to signify the partnership. And that logo's not confined to the tongue either-there's a least one pair that lets it stripe the midsole as well. Both styles are converse one star available in the classic high-top and ox versions and utilize canvas uppers with the reflective graphics printed on. Grab the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II "Reflective Print" Collection at retailers soon; the Camouflage set will launch on March 3rd, while the Stars will be available in April.

Other details of the redesign include a durable canvas construction, foam padded collar, non-slip gusseted tongue, a clean solid white midsole, and gum rubber outsole. In both the original high and low editions, the Chuck Taylor II debuts in black, blue, red, and white colorways on July 28th at finer Converse retailers globally.
