'Fortnite' Season 5: Here is What We Know So Far And What To Expect
The Wild West. Ancient Greece. Feudal Japan. They are also romanticized eras, indicating that Season 5 will not only be historic, it's going to have a mythical twist as well. It will be a historic hodge-podge, a mythical mish-mash--and it seems pretty rad.
We've seen clues for each. An older stagecoach has emerged on a hill near Moisty Mires, appearing from a mysterious rift.
The first teaser picture for Season 5 is a kitty mask that could be Japanese or Egyptian in origin.
One can hypothesize with some confidence that tomorrow Epic will release the exact same picture with a second mask or skin from another age and place. On Wednesday a third will appear.
The enemy launched, breaking the barrier between time and space, between our world and the game's planet, and now bits and pieces of the world are emerging within our own--like the Durr Burger found at a California desert--and also bits and pieces of our planet, from various times and places, are emerging in Fortnite. In Season 5 we will see these various epochs collide; but in a more immediate sense the worlds colliding would be the game's world and ours.

Will we still see a giant leviathan monster in the end of this season, with a brand new escort mode tasking teams of 50 gamers to direct or prevent it from moving across the map? How could such a beast fit into the many mythical epochs we are seeing teased or discharged across the map.
